How much do grillz cost in Toronto? The full price list

If you're searching for how much do grillz cost in Toronto, here is the short answer straight from our books: at Grillz Toronto, custom grillz are priced per tooth, not per set, because every cap is individually waxed and cast from your own mould. Solid 925 silver runs $90 per tooth, dental chrome or gold-tone is $110, 10K gold is $320, 14K gold is $450 and 18K gold is $540. Iced silver set with moissanite starts at $180 per tooth, and iced gold starts at $450 per tooth. Lab-grown and natural diamond pieces are quoted individually once we know the stone size and cut you want. Every figure here is in Canadian dollars and does not include HST.

These numbers rarely move, but gold is a commodity, so 10K, 14K and 18K prices can shift slightly with the market. The full, always-current breakdown lives on our pricing page, and you can preview every metal and style on the grillz styles page before you commit to anything.

Why grillz are priced per tooth, not per set

A lot of first-time buyers expect a flat "top grill" or "bottom grill" price, the way a one-size novelty grill is sold online. Custom grillz don't work that way, and for good reason. Every single tooth you want covered is its own miniature casting: it gets waxed up over a model of your actual tooth, invested, cast in the metal you chose, then cut, filed, polished and test-fit by hand. A canine or a molar takes almost as much bench time as a front incisor, sometimes more because of its shape, so charging per tooth is the fairest and most transparent way to price the work.

It also makes budgeting simple on your end. Instead of guessing what a "full set" costs, you decide how many teeth you want covered — a single cap, your top six, a full top and bottom set — and multiply by the per-tooth rate for the metal you've picked. No surprises at checkout, and no hidden "setting fee" tacked on afterward.

Worked examples: singles, sixes and full sets

Numbers are easier to picture with real combinations. Here's what some of our most requested builds cost before tax:

  • One silver cap (a single tooth): $90.
  • One 14K gold canine: $450.
  • Bottom six in 10K gold: 6 × $320 = $1,920.
  • Top eight in 14K gold: 8 × $450 = $3,600.
  • Top eight in 18K gold: 8 × $540 = $4,320.
  • Bottom six, iced silver with moissanite: from 6 × $180 = $1,080.
  • Full top and bottom set in dental chrome: 16 × $110 = $1,760.

What actually moves the price

Metal and karat are the biggest factor. Moving from 10K to 14K to 18K gold means a higher percentage of pure gold in every cap, which raises both the cost and the weight of the finished piece. Pure gold is soft, so even 18K pieces are alloyed slightly for durability, but the general rule holds: higher karat, higher price, more gold shine and weight in your mouth.

Stones come next. Moissanite is the budget-friendly way to get a fully iced look, because it's cut to mimic diamond brilliance at a fraction of the cost — our iced silver starts at $180 per tooth and iced gold at $450 per tooth. Lab-grown diamonds sit above moissanite in price but below natural diamonds, and natural stones are priced individually based on carat weight, clarity and how the setters have to cut into the metal to hold them securely.

Style complexity plays a smaller but real role. A plain cap is simpler to cast and finish than a deep open-face design that leaves most of your natural tooth visible through a frame of metal, or an engraved fang with a sculpted point. Ask us about your specific design when you book and we'll flag anything that affects the quote.

One thing that does not change the price: colour. White gold, yellow gold and rose gold cost exactly the same at the same karat, since the price difference between gold colours comes from the alloying metals, which are a negligible cost compared to the gold itself.

Deposits, turnaround and how payment works

Booking a mould appointment — whether at our downtown Toronto studio, at your home through our GTA mould visits, or by mail-order impression kit anywhere in Canada — never requires a payment up front. Once you've seen and approved your design, we collect a deposit before anything is cast. This protects both sides: you know exactly what you're getting before metal is poured, and we know the order is committed before we invest bench time.

Turnaround depends on what you've ordered. Plain metal sets (silver, chrome, or gold with no stones) are typically ready in 5 to 10 days. Gold pieces with stones, and any iced work, take longer to set and polish properly, usually 10 to 15 days. If you're planning around an event, mention your date when you book and we'll let you know if it's realistic.

Is a cheap, one-size grill worth it?

Mall kiosks, flea markets and online marketplaces sell one-size "grillz" for under $50, and it's tempting to wonder why custom costs more. The honest answer is that those pieces are almost never solid metal — most are thin plating over a base metal, shaped to a generic tooth curve rather than your own. They tend to sit loosely, pinch at the gumline, and discolour within weeks. A custom piece moulded to your teeth, in a metal you've chosen, is a different product entirely: it fits snugly, it's genuinely the metal you paid for, and it holds its finish for years with basic care.

We go through the trade-offs in detail in custom-moulded vs one-size grillz, and if cost is your main question, our piece on grillz price per tooth in Toronto breaks down the per-tooth math even further.

Booking from across the GTA

Our studio is in downtown Toronto, with the exact location shared once you book, but plenty of clients never come downtown at all. If you're in North York, we can send someone to take your mould at home, the same way we do across most of the GTA. If you're further out, or simply prefer not to schedule a home visit, we mail an impression kit anywhere in Canada so you can take your own mould and send it back — the price per tooth doesn't change either way.

Clients from downtown Toronto often book the studio directly since it's a short trip, while people further out tend to prefer the mail-in kit or a home visit on a weekend. Whichever route you choose, the pricing on this page is exactly what you'll pay — there's no surcharge for mail-in kits or home visits.

Quick answers to common pricing questions

Does the price include tax?

No. All prices quoted here and on our pricing page are before HST.

Can I mix metals in one set?

Yes. Plenty of clients put gold on their top six and silver on the bottom, or ice just the front four teeth and leave the rest plain. Each tooth is priced individually, so mixing costs nothing extra beyond the per-tooth rates above.

Why don't you list diamond prices here?

Natural and lab-grown diamond work depends too much on carat weight and stone quality to quote a flat per-tooth number honestly. We'll give you a specific figure once we know what you have in mind — reach out any time at contact@grillz-toronto.com or by WhatsApp.

Will the price change before my grillz are cast?

Once you've paid your deposit on an approved design, the price is locked. Gold market movement only affects quotes that haven't been deposited yet.
